The Propeller Turbine unit (SKU JA-FMAHLE-9974) is a self-contained, small-scale hydropower unit that demonstrates the operating principles of a propeller turbine. A circulating pump supplies the turbine, a magnetic brake controlled from the PC loads it, and electronic sensors log the process variables through a USB interface. Specifications
The circulating pump produces 14 m of head at 4.4 litres per second from a 75 litre reservoir; the turbine is loaded by a magnetic brake unit controlled from the PC, and the analogue sensor outputs are digitised and sent to a Windows computer over USB.
