The cosine wave firing circuit trainer demonstrates the cosine-wave comparator scheme for generating firing pulses for a single-phase converter. Six op-amp ICs, a triple 3-input AND gate IC, four NPN transistors, two potentiometers and two 1:1:1 pulse transformers are built into the board, which runs from 6 V AC and ±12 V DC regulated supplies (SKU JA-PET-1436).
