The TRIAC and AC phase control trainer is a power electronics board for studying TRIAC characteristics in all four operating modes (I+, I-, III+ and III-) and their use in AC power control. With a TRIAC, a DIAC trigger, NPN and PNP gate-control options, a 40 W lamp load and an RFI filter, students can build a light dimmer, examine its hysteresis and reduce it by gate slaving, and study radio frequency interference and its suppression (SKU JA-PET-1417).
