The universal motor speed control trainer demonstrates SCR and TRIAC speed control of a series-wound universal motor, a type that runs on both AC and DC supply. The board carries a universal motor of 1/12 HP or less and can control universal motors up to 1/4 HP, covering half-wave control with and without feedback and full-wave TRIAC control (SKU JA-PET-1425).

Universal motor speed control experiments
