The Load Truss (SKU JA-ST-9818) is a reaction anchorage system that gives a fixed loading reaction for field soil tests. The truss is a welded I-girder built in two halves that bolt together, held down by semi-cylindrical anchorage pieces, each pinned with 1 m long steel spikes driven through drilled holes at about 60° to the horizontal. A 200 kN truss is supplied with eight anchorages, and guy wires with turn-buckles keep it upright.
