The Hydrocyclone unit (SKU JA-AM-6485) is a test unit for separating solids from liquids in a hydrocyclone with a tangential inlet. A suspension prepared in a 200 litre stainless steel stirred tank is pumped by a centrifugal pump, with flow set by a bypass valve and measured by an electromagnetic flow meter, into a 114 mm cyclone. Sampling points on the top and bottom flows give flow rates and solid concentrations, and a manometer shows pressure loss. It is supplied by JaincoLab for chemical and mechanical process engineering laboratories.
