Static Cone Penetrometer

The Static Cone Penetrometer (SKU JA-ST-9837) pushes a truncated 60° steel cone with a 10 cm² base vertically into the ground by static thrust. The cone resistance is close to the load an actual pile can carry per unit area of its tip, so readings at set intervals give a continuous bearing capacity and shear strength profile. With the optional friction jacket, soil types can also be identified. Hand-operated 30 kN and engine-driven 100 kN models are listed.
