The Cake and Depth Filtration unit (SKU JA-AM-6486) is a bench apparatus for the fundamentals of cake and depth filtration. Suspension flows from a height-adjustable glass filler hopper through a glass filter element with a sintered metal filter medium of 100 micron pore size at its base, and twin tube manometers measure the pressure loss while a flow meter with needle valve sets the flow. It is supplied by JaincoLab for chemical and mechanical process engineering laboratories.
