The Bubble Cap Distillation Column (SKU JA-FMAHLE-7316) is a unit operations set-up for batch distillation of a binary mixture. The stainless steel column has seven plates, each with one bubble cap, above an electrically heated reboiler; the top vapours condense in a shell and tube condenser fed from an overhead cooling-water tank. This bubble cap distillation column splits the condensate into reflux and distillate with an automatic reflux divider whose R/D ratio can be varied.
