The Vortex Formation Apparatus (SKU JA-FMAHLE-9990), supplied by JaincoLab, generates free and forced vortices in a transparent tank so that their surface profiles can be seen and measured. Two tangential nozzles or a three-blade impeller produce a forced vortex, while two radial nozzles and four interchangeable drain inserts produce a free vortex. This free and forced vortex apparatus measures the water surface with horizontal and vertical point gauges and a movable measuring tube.
