Flow of Compressible Fluids
Product Code : JA-FMAHLE-10018
The flow of compressible fluids trainer (SKU JA-FMAHLE-10018) is used to investigate subsonic and transonic air flow. A variable speed radial fan draws air through transparent measuring objects, including pipe sections, an elbow, nozzles and orifices, with digital displays for pressure, velocity and speed. It is supplied by JaincoLab for gas dynamics and fluid mechanics practicals in engineering colleges.
Specifications
The flow of compressible fluids trainer has a radial fan of up to 34,000 rpm, 206 m³/h, 271 mbar and 1.6 kW, 1 m pipe sections of 16, 24 and 34 mm diameter, two nozzles of 12 to 34 mm inner diameter and orifice disks of 12, 19, 25 and 32 mm.

Experiments on the flow of compressible fluids trainer
The flow of compressible fluids trainer lets students measure pressure losses in pipes and elbows in subsonic flow, record the pressure curve along nozzles in subsonic and transonic flow, determine mass and volume flow, and plot the characteristic curve of the radial fan.
- Pressure losses in subsonic flow in pipe sections and a 90° elbow
- Pressure curve in subsonic and transonic nozzle flow
- Mass flow with the measuring nozzle and volume flow with the orifice
- Fan characteristic curve using the throttle valve
- Gas dynamics practicals for mechanical and aeronautical engineering students
Scope of supply and ordering
The listing covers the trainer with variable speed radial fan, the transparent measuring objects (pipe sections, elbow, nozzles, throttle valve and orifice with disks), the measuring nozzle and the digital displays. Accessories, spares and quantities are confirmed on the quotation.
MOQ, lead time and packing for the flow of compressible fluids trainer are confirmed on each quotation for the quantity and delivery destination. Single units and orders for complete thermo-fluids laboratories are supplied, including export to Africa, the Middle East and South and South-East Asia.
Frequently asked questions
What air speeds can the trainer reach?
It covers subsonic and transonic air flow, driven by a radial fan of up to 34,000 rpm, 206 m³/h and 271 mbar.
Which measuring objects are included?
1 m pipe sections of 16, 24 and 34 mm, a 90° elbow, two nozzles with sudden and gradual enlargement, a 34 mm throttle valve and an orifice with 12 to 32 mm disks.
How is the flow rate measured?
A measuring nozzle determines mass flow and an orifice determines volume flow by differential pressure; digital displays show pressures, velocity and speed.
