The SCR converters and reactive loads trainer is a power electronics board for studying SCR triggering in bridge converters that feed inductive and capacitive loads. It shows the limits of simple UJT triggering under reactive load and how an auxiliary SCR pulse-extender circuit overcomes them, then covers the half-controlled bridge with freewheeling diode and a fully controlled 4-SCR bridge. Resistive, inductive and capacitive loads can be used alone or together (SKU JA-PET-1418).
