The Sieve Plate Distillation Column (SKU JA-FMAHLE-7323) is a stainless steel column with seven sieve trays for studying batch distillation of a binary mixture. An electrically heated reboiler sits at the bottom, and the top vapours are condensed in a stainless steel shell and tube condenser cooled from an overhead water tank. This sieve plate distillation column divides the condensate into reflux and distillate with an automatic reflux divider whose R/D ratio can be varied.
