Q Meter
Product Code : JA-TAMI-1018
The Q Meter (SKU JA-TAMI-1018) measures the quality factor, Q, of an inductor, a value that has to be known when coils and transformers are designed. The coil is connected, the measuring frequency is set to 1 kHz or 10 kHz, and the balancing dial, calibrated directly in Q, is turned against the moving-coil meter. Readings cover 0.1 to 100. The bench case measures 14 x 9 x 5.5 inches and runs from 220 V, 50 Hz.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Q Meter measure?
The quality factor (Q) of an inductor, from 0.1 to 100.
At what frequencies can the measurement be made?
At 1 kHz or 10 kHz.
How is the reading taken?
By turning the balancing dial, which is calibrated directly in Q, against the moving-coil meter.
