The Packed Distillation Column (SKU JA-FMAHLE-7324) demonstrates the principles of distillation in a packed column. The stainless steel column is packed with borosilicate glass Raschig rings and heated from below by an electric reboiler, and the top vapours are condensed in a shell and tube condenser supplied from an overhead cooling-water tank. This packed distillation column divides the condensate with an automatic reflux divider whose R/D ratio can be varied, and has stainless steel tanks and wetted parts.
