The Magnetic Separation apparatus (SKU JA-AM-6481) is a belt-type magnetic separator for studying the separation of magnetic from non-magnetic material. Feed from a continuously vibrating stainless steel hopper travels on a 150 mm wide, 500 mm long belt driven by an FHP motor with reduction gearbox past permanent magnets in a stainless steel chamber, and the two fractions drop into separate collecting bins. A weighing balance is included for efficiency tests. It is supplied by JaincoLab for chemical and mineral processing laboratories.
