Higher Range Rheostat

The Higher Range Rheostat (SKU JA-SI-8145) follows the groove type design but uses Kanthal resistance wire in place of Eureka wire, for higher resistance values. The wire is wound on a thick-wall porcelain or cement pipe with a deeply grooved outer surface that lets air circulate for convection cooling, and a slider with two large-area copper brushes runs the full length.
