The Heat Transfer In Forced Convection apparatus (SKU JA-HTLE-7375) measures how moving air removes heat from the inside of a heated pipe. A blower drives air through the test pipe, whose flow is measured with an orifice, while a nichrome wire heater around the pipe gives a constant heat flux. This forced convection apparatus has four temperature sensors, on the pipe surface and in the air stream at inlet and outlet, and suits heat transfer labs.
