Groove Type Rheostat Tube

The Groove Type Rheostat Tube (SKU JA-SI-8143) winds bare Eureka resistance wire on a thick-wall porcelain or cement pipe whose outer surface is deeply grooved; the grooves act as air channels for convection cooling. A brass slider travels the full length of the rheostat, and contact with the wire is made by two copper brushes with a large contact area for smooth current control and little wear.
