The Flashing and Quenching of Neon apparatus (SKU JA-VOVLACOS-1106) is used to calculate the charge and discharge time of a condenser. A 100 V DC, 30 mA supply charges one of three paper capacitors, selected with toggle switches, until the neon lamp strikes and flashes; the lamp then quenches as the capacitor discharges, and the flashing rate gives the timing.
