Melting Point Apparatus

The Melting Point Apparatus (SKU JA-SI-6518) finds the melting point of solid samples by the capillary method, up to 350 C. A metallic heating block holds three capillary tubes beside a stem-type thermometer, and a shadow-less lamp with a focusable magnifier lets the student see the moment each sample melts. Heating is set with an energy regulator, and the unit is housed in an epoxy-coated cast aluminium casing with its own control panel.
