Determination of the Settling Velocity

The Determination of the Settling Velocity unit (SKU JA-FMAHLE-9996), supplied by JaincoLab, measures how fast spheres of different density and size sink through a liquid. Two transparent cylinders with a marked measuring section are filled with the test fluids, a guide tube centres each sphere as it is dropped, and a sluice lets the spheres be taken out without emptying the cylinder. This settling velocity apparatus includes ten spheres, two areometers for fluid density and a stopwatch.
