Condensers Air (product code JA-C-1596) are glass air condensers: plain tubes with a ground-glass cone at the bottom and a socket at the top, cooled by the surrounding air instead of running water. An air condenser is suited to liquids with high boiling points, where water cooling is not needed or could crack the glass. Seven sizes are listed, from 100 mm to 550 mm effective length with B10 to B29 joints, for college, pharmacy and research laboratories.

Applications of the air condenser
Air condensers are fitted above a flask for reflux or used in distillation when the liquid boils high enough that air cooling condenses the vapour.

No. It is cooled by the surrounding air, so it has no water jacket or hose connections.
