Frequently asked questions
Which wavelengths does the advanced trainer use?
Two channels, 660 nm and 950 nm, each with its own LED transmitter and photodetector.
Can two computers communicate over the fiber link?
Yes. Full-duplex PC-to-PC communication runs through RS232 ports with the supplied software.
What bandwidth does the link offer?
350 kHz analog bandwidth and 2.5 MHz digital bandwidth.
How does it differ from the elementary model?
The elementary trainer (SKU JA-AET-1477) is a single 660 nm simplex link without the 950 nm channel or RS232 communication.
