The Wood Microtome (SKU JA-M-6589) is a heavy duty microtome for cutting thin sections of hard materials such as wood and bone, in samples up to 8 x 5 cm. In this wood microtome the razor is fixed and the sample is fed upwards and sliced, in steps of 1 micron up to 35 microns, with the object held in a 65 x 30 mm vice on a 304 mm slide way.
