Sonometer and resonance practicals with the steel fork set
In practical classes the steel forks are used one after another on a sonometer to find the resonating length of a wire for each frequency, or over a resonance tube to find the air-column length, so students can plot length against the reciprocal of frequency and test the laws involved.
