The shrinkage limit set is used to determine the shrinkage limit of soil and to calculate related factors such as shrinkage ratio, shrinkage index and volumetric shrinkage. The shrinkage limit is the maximum water content at which a further reduction in water no longer causes an appreciable reduction in the volume of the soil mass (SKU JA-SM-8865).
