The Semi Automatic Mounting Press (SKU JA-ME-7354), supplied by JaincoLab, embeds small metal specimens in thermoset plastic under heat and pressure so that they can be ground and polished. Turning the hand-wheel drives bevel gears and a screw rod that move the lower die, while an internal spring holds the pressure and a signal light shows the pressure level. This metallographic mounting press has a digital temperature controller and a timer, and completes a mount in about 8 to 10 minutes.
