The Precision Rotary Microtome Spencer Type (SKU JA-SI-6584) cuts tissue sections down to 1 micron thick for histology and pathology teaching and research. A cam drive sets the feed from 1 to 50 microns in steps of one micron; the feed indicator, graduated in microns, sits at the front for quick reference and is set with a knurled knob at the back. The mechanism rests on a heavy cast-iron base under a full-swing cover that opens for cleaning and lubrication.
