Losses in Pipe Elements
Product Code : JA-FMAHLE-10020
The losses in pipe elements trainer (SKU JA-FMAHLE-10020) is used to measure pressure losses in straight pipes, valves, changes of direction, contractions, enlargements and parallel lines. Ten pipe sections are selected through hose connections with quick-release couplings, and the rig runs from the mains water network or in a closed circuit. It is supplied by JaincoLab for pipe flow practicals in engineering colleges, polytechnics and TVET institutes.
Specifications
The losses in pipe elements trainer has ten pipe sections 1000 mm long in copper, galvanised steel and PVC, including bends and 20-32 mm enlargements and contractions, pressure sensors in annular chambers and a rotameter for flow.

Applications of the losses in pipe elements trainer
The losses in pipe elements trainer lets students measure the differential pressure across each pipe element at several flow rates and compare friction losses in copper, steel and PVC pipes with the losses caused by bends, section changes, valves and parallel lines.
- Friction losses in straight copper, galvanised steel and PVC pipes
- Losses in segment bends, pipe angles and pipe bends
- Losses at gradual and sudden enlargements and contractions
- Flow division and losses in parallel lines
- Pipe flow practicals in engineering, polytechnic and TVET courses
Scope of supply and ordering
The listing covers the trainer with its ten pipe sections, hose connections, rotameter and annular chamber pressure tappings. The choice of differential pressure meter, twin tube or 6-tube manometers is confirmed on the quotation, together with accessories, spares and quantities.
MOQ, lead time and packing for the losses in pipe elements trainer are confirmed on each quotation for the quantity, the manometer option and the delivery destination. Single units and orders for new laboratories are supplied, including export to Africa, the Middle East and South and South-East Asia.
Frequently asked questions
How many pipe sections does the trainer have?
Ten pipe sections, each 1000 mm long, including straight copper, steel and PVC pipes, bends, enlargements, contractions and a dual PVC line.
What water supply does it need?
It can run from the mains water network or in a closed circuit.
How are pressure losses measured?
Pressure sensors in annular chambers connect to a differential pressure meter, twin tube manometers or 6-tube manometers; flow is read on a rotameter.
