The Kjeldahl Distillation and Digestion Combined Unit (SKU JA-CE-4001) is a bench-stand system for total nitrogen and protein determination, with one mantle-type platform for digestion and a second for distillation. It suits food-testing, agricultural and university laboratories that run the Kjeldahl method regularly. This Kjeldahl combined unit uses spun aluminium mantle bodies and glass-yarn heating mantles rated 200 W per test, and withstands temperatures up to 350°C. Applications of the Kjeldahl combined unit
The combined unit is used to carry a sample through the Kjeldahl method on one stand: acid digestion on the first mantle platform, then distillation of the ammonia on the second, after which the distillate is titrated and the nitrogen or protein content is calculated.
