Joules Calorimeter
Product Code : JA-H-8001
The JaincoLab Joule's calorimeter (SKU JA-H-8001) is used to determine the specific heat capacity of a liquid by the electrical method. A nickel-plated copper calorimeter of 75 x 50 mm diameter is lagged and enclosed in a 100 x 75 mm outer vessel. Its close-fitting ebonite lid carries a wire stirrer and two 4 mm sockets connected to a constantan heating coil of about 6 ohm. It is a standard practical in senior-secondary and undergraduate physics.
Specifications
The calorimeter is nickel-plated copper, 75 x 50 mm (diameter), lagged inside a 100 x 75 mm outer vessel. The constantan heating coil has a resistance of about 6 ohm and is used at 0.5 A, with a maximum of 1 A. All values are from the product data.
