Hydrogen Bubble Flow Visualisation System
Product Code : JA-FMAHLE-9948
The hydrogen bubble flow visualisation system (SKU JA-FMAHLE-9948) is a compact, bench-mounted, self-contained unit that shows flow patterns in water using streams of fine hydrogen bubbles. The bubbles are generated on a thin platinum/iridium wire cathode, and a set of clear acrylic models is placed in the working section. It is supplied by JaincoLab for flow visualisation teaching in engineering colleges and university laboratories.
Specifications
The hydrogen bubble flow visualisation system has a flow tank with working section and pumped recirculation driven by a low voltage variable speed pump, a separate electronic control console with a 4-line, 20-digit LCD and an interchangeable platinum/iridium wire cathode.

Applications of the hydrogen bubble flow visualisation system
The hydrogen bubble flow visualisation system makes streamlines, boundary layers, separation and wakes visible around cylinders, plates, blocks and an aerofoil, so students can watch how flow patterns change with model shape and flow speed.
- Flow around cylinders of 6 to 25 mm diameter
- Flow past an aerofoil, flat plate and curved plate
- Channel flow between straight guides and blocks
- Separation and wake formation behind bluff bodies
- Flow visualisation in undergraduate fluid mechanics teaching
Scope of supply and ordering
The listing covers the flow tank with pump and working section, the electronic control console, the platinum/iridium wire cathode, the acrylic model set in its protective container and the toolkit. Accessories, spares and quantities are confirmed on the quotation.
MOQ, lead time and packing for the hydrogen bubble flow visualisation system are confirmed on each quotation for the quantity and delivery destination. Single units and orders for new laboratories are supplied, including export to Africa, the Middle East and South and South-East Asia.
Frequently asked questions
How are the flow patterns made visible?
Small hydrogen bubbles are generated on an interchangeable fine platinum/iridium wire cathode and carried by the water past the model.
Which models are supplied?
Straight guides, spacer blocks, blocks with radiused ends, four cylinders of 6, 12, 19 and 25 mm, a curved plate, an aerofoil section, a flat plate with radiused end and a 70 x 40 x 25 mm block.
Does the unit need a separate water circuit?
No. It is self-contained, with a flow tank and pumped recirculation driven by a low voltage variable speed pump.
