Hall Effect Experiment
Product Code : JA-SCD-1091
The Hall Effect Experiment (SKU JA-SCD-1091) is a set-up for measuring the Hall voltage across a mounted germanium crystal placed in a magnetic field, from which the Hall coefficient and carrier type of the semiconductor are worked out. The field comes from a 7.5 kG electromagnet run from a 0-100 V, 4 A supply with meter, and is measured with a digital gauss meter (0-20 kG) and Hall probe. A constant current supply, 0-20 mA, drives the crystal, and two digital meters show the Hall voltage and crystal current.
