The Floating Bodies set (SKU JA-FMAHLE-9988), supplied by JaincoLab, is used to find the metacentre and the stability of floating bodies with two different hull frames. One body has a hard chine frame and the other a round bilge frame, both 300 x 200 mm in plan. This metacentric height apparatus heels each body with a movable weight on a 240 mm mast and reads the heel angle on a +/- 35° scale.
