Butyro Refractometer

The Butyro Refractometer (SKU JA-ELA-5501) is a refractometer made by JaincoLab for measuring fats, oils and similar products, giving its reading directly on the oil scale, also called the butyro scale. A micrometer eyepiece reads this scale to 0.1, and conversion tables supplied with the instrument turn the butyro reading into refractive index over 1.42 to 1.49 with an accuracy of 0.0002, relative to the mean sodium lines.
