Standing wave experiments with the vibration generator
Driven by a signal generator, the vibration generator shakes one end of a stretched string, elastic cord or spring so that students can form standing waves, count loops and relate frequency, tension and wavelength, as in Melde’s experiment, and it can also drive plates and rods to show resonance at particular frequencies.
