The Set of Plates (SKU JA-SW-7610) is a microwave optics accessory set of five plates, each on supporting feet: two aluminium plates of about 200 × 280 mm, a polarization grille of about 200 × 200 mm, a perspex plate of about 200 × 280 mm and a narrow aluminium plate of about 60 × 280 mm. With a microwave transmitter and receiver, the plates are used for reflection, slit diffraction and interference, polarisation and transmission experiments. Microwave experiments with the set of plates
In microwave optics practicals the aluminium plates act as reflectors and, set side by side with the narrow plate, form single and double slits for diffraction and interference; the grille shows the polarisation of the transmitted wave, and the perspex plate shows partial reflection and transmission through a dielectric.
