Sliding Microtome

The Sliding Microtome (SKU JA-ELA-5489) is a sectioning instrument made by JaincoLab for cutting sections of paraffin- and celloidin-embedded specimens in college and research laboratories. The object is fed vertically by a micrometer screw and held rigidly, so it stays steady under the knife even when relatively large, hard or uneven specimens are cut. The heavy knife block runs on slideways and is moved by hand along a 27 cm track.
