Using the 200 mm pump plate for bell jar experiments
With a bell jar seated on the 200 mm plate and a vacuum pump attached through the tube, teachers remove the air from the jar for vacuum demonstrations and use the stopcock to isolate the jar or re-admit air, which lets the class compare what happens at normal and reduced pressure.
