Polishing Cloth (SKU JA-ELA-5399) is a range of polishing cloths supplied by JaincoLab for coarse and fine polishing of hard, soft and composite materials, as used in metallographic specimen preparation. Most cloths come with plain or PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) backing for mounting on the polishing disc, and they are used with diamond compound, diamond spray or alumina suspension.

The polishing cloths come in hard and soft types, with plain or PSA backing, and plain cloths are cut about 2 inches larger than the disc so they can be clamped over its edge.

Choosing a polishing cloth
The cloth is chosen by polishing stage: a hard, low-resilience cloth removes material quickly, and a soft, low-nap cloth gives the final finish.
