Micro Titer Plates (SKU JL-LE-11424, Cat. No. JSS-622/0319) are multi-well plates in virgin polypropylene, supplied by JaincoLab for sample storage, dilution series and molecular biology work. Polypropylene binds less of the sample than polystyrene plates and resists a wide range of chemicals. On the 96-well plates the wells are raised to help prevent cross contamination, and a clearly printed alpha-numeric grid identifies every well. The plates keep the standard SBS footprint, so they fit plate racks and readers built to that format. Because the plates can be used from -80 °C to 121 °C, they cover freezer storage as well as heat sterilisation in an autoclave.

Why polypropylene instead of polystyrene?
