Inertial Balance

The Inertial Balance (SKU JL-LE-10597, Cat. No. JSS-055/061) measures the inertial mass of objects without relying on gravity. A platform carrying the object oscillates in a horizontal plane under the restoring force of two straight blade springs; the period grows with the mass on the platform, so an unknown mass is found by comparing its period with those of known masses. The inertial balance is supplied by JaincoLab.
