One person can measure to remote or hard-to-reach points, and shortcut keys add or subtract distances and work out areas, volumes and indirect lengths by Pythagoras. Continuous measurement with minimum and maximum tracking helps find the shortest or longest distance, and the last 20 measurements are stored.
