Hydraulic Flow Demonstrator
Product Code : JA-FMAHLE-9946
The hydraulic flow demonstrator (SKU JA-FMAHLE-9946) is a small glass-sided channel for demonstrating flow in open channels and closed conduits over models of hydraulic structures. Its working section is 77 mm wide, 150 mm high and 1100 mm long, with a raisable bed section, Pitot tubes and static tappings. It is supplied by JaincoLab with sluice gate, overshot, sharp crested, broad crested and ogee weir models for hydraulics practicals in engineering colleges.
Specifications
The hydraulic flow demonstrator has a clear acrylic-sided working section of 77 x 150 x 1100 mm, a stilling arrangement at the inlet, a discharge tank with flow control valve, a multi-tube manometer connected to Pitot tubes and static tappings at three locations and transparent scales for heights and levels.

Applications of the hydraulic flow demonstrator
The hydraulic flow demonstrator lets students see and measure flow under a sluice gate and over different weirs, trace velocity profiles with the Pitot tubes, and compare open channel with closed conduit flow, covering the hydraulic structures part of fluid mechanics courses.
- Flow under a sluice gate and over overshot, sharp crested, broad crested and ogee weirs
- Culvert flow using the broad crested weir
- Velocity profile measurement with the traversing Pitot tubes
- Total and static head along the working section
- Project work with user-made hydraulic structures
Scope of supply and ordering
The listing covers the channel with its working section, the five hydraulic structure models, the raisable bed section, the Pitot tubes, static tappings and multi-tube manometer, the discharge tank with flow control valve and the instruction manual. The direct reading flowmeter is an option. Accessories, spares and quantities are confirmed on the quotation.
MOQ, lead time and packing for the hydraulic flow demonstrator are confirmed on each quotation for the quantity, options and delivery destination. Single units and complete laboratory orders are supplied, including export to Africa, the Middle East and South and South-East Asia.
