Hay Bridge
Product Code : JA-SI-8078
The Hay Bridge (SKU JA-SI-8078) measures an unknown inductance by AC bridge balance and is supplied with four unknown values for students to determine. Everything needed is built into a teak wood case: a 1 kHz sine-wave source with indicating lamp, a null detector with digital display, and a circuit board with 4 mm sockets. Balance is found with three-decade resistance dials and a decade capacitance dial.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Hay Bridge measure?
The value of an unknown inductance; four unknowns are supplied with it.
Which arms are adjustable?
R2 and R3 on three-decade dials from x10 to x1000 ohm, and C on a decade dial in 0.1 microfarad steps; R4 is fixed at 100 ohm.
What frequency is the source?
A 1 kHz sine wave from the built-in source.
What is the case made of?
Teak wood; the 1 kHz source, digital null detector and 4 mm socket circuit board are all built into it.
