Gold Leaf Electroscope

The Gold Leaf Electroscope (SKU JL-LE-11483, Cat. No. JSS-177/0405) detects electric charge and shows its relative size by how far a thin leaf moves. A metal disc on top passes through an insulating polythene bush and ends inside the case in a flat support that carries the gold leaf. The case is metal with a glass window and has a 4 mm earthing socket, and a transparent scale shows the amount of deflection.
