The Force Table (SKU JA-FMDE-7800) is a circular bench apparatus for studying the addition of forces and the equilibrium of three or four concurrent forces. Experiments with the force table with pulleys and slotted masses
On the force table students hang masses over pulleys clamped at chosen angles until the central ring is in equilibrium, then compare the measured forces and angles with the vector sum worked out graphically or by resolving components.
