The JaincoLab 100 turn transformer coil (SKU JA-ETE-7691) is one of the interchangeable coils in our modular transformer range. It fits the common U-core assembly, so students can pair it with a coil of a different number of turns and build their own step-up or step-down transformer. It is used in school and college physics practicals on electromagnetic induction and transformers, alongside the 50, 200, 500, 1000 and 2000-turn coils.
Specifications
This coil has 100 turns and is made to fit the same U-core assembly as every other coil in the range. It is not intended for direct mains connection: for 230 V mains, the 1000-turn Mains Coil is required as the primary.

Applications of the 100 turn transformer coil
Coils with different numbers of turns let students see how the turns ratio sets the output of a transformer. This coil is used for:
