The Circle Area Demonstrator (SKU JL-LEP-10288) shows how the formula for the area of a circle is derived. The circle, at least 196 mm across and 5 mm thick in sturdy plastic, has each half in a different colour and separates into at least 12 sectors. Arranging the sectors alternately into a near-parallelogram, pupils see that its sides approach half the circumference and the radius. The circle area demonstrator comes with a base for mounting the circle and sectors. JaincoLab manufactures it in India, made as per DepEd guidelines.
